Perfect Little Man by Aunt Connie

Christian, the perfect name for such a sweet little man.
I had a copy of his sonogram picture on my refrigerator for months before he made his tiny entrance into this big
World. His Gigi called me that Christmas day and we couldn’t get there fast enough. Waiting for this little man to finally make it here was the only thing we could think about. I would ask Laura, has Beth had any contractions yet, anything? Nope she would reply not yet.
So that Christmas we all received the best gift ever, the gift of Christian
Landon Gurley. (I suggested his middle name since it rhymed with
Brandon)
I couldn’t wait to hold him. There was a rocking chair in the room so I took that tiny warm bundle and just looked at him. He was so tiny and perfect, I couldn’t believe he was real. He was finally here and he’s absolutely gorgeous. I knew he would be. He was a soft sleeping angel and while I was holding him he twitched his little nose and gave a quick cute crooked smile. Well that did it! I was hooked.
I couldn’t wait to hit the stores and start buying tons of cute clothes
for this little man.
It was only weeks that he was making perfect eye contact and smiling
directly at us, actual eye to eye contact and lots of adorable smiles.
His blue eyes would melt your heart.
I would take him to Church with me at St. Margaret’s. Everyone loved his beautiful eyes and sweet smile. He was always so quiet during Mass. Just like a little angel. He would look around at the stained glass windows.
Then he would look up and make eye contact and smile at me. I would hold
him on my shoulder and he would coo and smile at the people behind us.
I couldn’t resist sharing his beautiful smiles with everyone. I was a proud
Aunt. I loved taking him up to communion with me so Father could bless him. He would smile such a cute smile and jibber jabber almost like he knew he was being blessed.
Fast forward, 1-2-3 years later and his smiles continued to touch those around him. His smile was contagious and you didn’t mind catching it.
Christian is now in Heaven experiencing a sense of peace and joy unknown to us on earth. If he was given a chance to come back here I don’t think he would, I think he would rather have all of us up there with him.
Christian they say you died to young and you will never be this or that….but
we know that you are a Guardian Angel for Connor, Jonah, and Roman.
Watch over them Little Man, we Love you.

THE MEMORY by UNCLE CHRIS!

Christian it's been months, and I've been to visit Mobile a few times since I last saw you. Even though time has passed it's hard to believe that your still gone. There has not been a day that has gone by that I still don't think about you. Your eyes are the thing that I remember the most, and the way you used to like how I'd pick you up and swing you around in the air and then throw you on the couch. I remember the last day I saw you. It was right before I'd left to come back to Florida and we were all @ Mike's house eating and we were playing around and your face was just as lit up as ever. I knew that you woud have grown up to be something great. But even though you didn't make it to that point God left us the memory of something great. You are truly and Angel and you're under God's wing. But I just want you to know that I will never forget you. You will always be my little Christian, and I will always be your Uncle Chris. Hopefully one day I'll be able to join you in heaven and pick you up and swing you around again just like I'd done since the day I met you. R.I.P and I miss you Scooby!

With Love,
Uncle Chris
